The Pioneer DVR LX61 DVD Recorder comes with so many features that make entertainment in the comfort of your house not just enjoyable but also exciting and a real experience.
The wonderful black DVD recorder plays DVD-video, DVD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM, Video CD and Super VCD. It records DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW, DVD-RAM, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, MP3 and WMA formats.
It has a hard disk drive of 250 GB capacity. The maximum recording time is 711 hours. It has 7 recording modes-XP, SP, LP, EP, SLP, SEP and manual. The maximum recording time by the XP mode is 53 hours, SP is 106 hours, LP is 212 hours, EP is 319 hours, SLP mode is 425 hours, SEP is 532 hours and in the manual mode it is 36-711 hours.
The advanced encoder technology guarantees spectacular video quality. By combining single-pass variable bit rate control with multi-resolution, it performs ideal video image compression encoding for dramatically improved picture quality.
The recording time has 4 preset recording quality modes. They are
• Fine mode: this is the highest quality setting, giving about 1 hour of recording time on a DVD disc.
• SP (Standard Play): this is a default setting sufficient for most applications. It gives about 2 hours of recording time on a DVD disc.
• LP (Long Play): This is of a slightly lower video quality, but it doubles the recording time on a DVD to around 4 hours.
• EP (Extended Play): this mode is most efficient when maximum recording time is important. It provides for around 6 hours of recording time on the DVD.
In addition to these settings, you can also access 32 different recording quality settings in the manual recording mode giving you fine control over the recording.
The Pioneer DVD recorder also features a Analogue TV Tuner, Analogue EPG, a Digital Jukebox, Pause Live TV, Chase Play, One Touch Recording, High Speed copying, HDMI interface with 1080p scaling and KURO LINK. It also supports automatic recording and features HDD Sleep mode. It also has the Grace note database.
With the One Touch feature, you can copy the recordings on the hard disk drive to a DVD-R/DVD-RW disc by just pushing the One Touch Copy button on your remote control. This high speed copy mode copies the entire programme from beginning to the end.
You can take the advantage of the PDC/VPS system available on your favourite LX61 DVD player to record your favourite programmes that may run late. All you have to do is to input the announced time and date of the programme you want to record correctly. You can record up to 8 hours of your timer recordings.
The PCM recording feature allows you to record high quality FINE or MN32 record settings to uncompressed 16-bit/48 kHz Linear PCM format to deliver great sounding audio to accompany high picture quality. In order to archive recordings, this DVD player can copy files extremely fast without any quality loss.
Apart from this it also allows high speed copying from DVD-RW discs in the VR mode to the built in hard disk drive, but this can be played back on RW-compatible players only. You can record up to 250 titles only on the hard disk drive even though more recording time is available.
The optimized copy option available on this multi featured DVD player allows you to copy materials at a different recording quality from the original. The DVD disc backup feature offers a suitable way to copy important material on the DVD to another recordable DVD disc without any quality loss.
Pioneer’s DVR LX61 Digital Video Recorder is capable of reading up to 250 MP3 files recorded on to CD-R or CD-RW discs. You can use on-screen display to navigate, program or select files.
The JPEG Photo viewer facility allows you to display your precious photos in their full magnificence on-screen. You just have to load the disc containing the JPEG pictures in to the DVD players to start the slide show. This player is compatible with FUJICOLOR CD and KODAK Picture CD formats as well as CD-R/RW/ROMs containing JPEG files.
The Erase Section feature allows you to simply indicate the section you would like to erase. Other additional features include Pure Cinema Progressive Scan, Digital Noise reduction and Digital Time Base corrector. It also consists of a system Remote control terminal, Home Media Gallery and G-LINK. It connects to the PC through Ethernet or USB port.
The Pioneer DVR LX61 Recorder has a DV terminal (IEEE 1394) using which you can dub from digital sources to the hard disk drive or DVD disc by just connecting a camcorder to the DV IN/OUT connector on the front of the DVD recorder. The DV IN/OUT can also be connected to a DV deck.
The elegantly designed recorder has the measurement of 420 mm width, 77 mm height and 288 mm depth. It weighs 4.5 kg. The total power consumption by this DVD player when it is in use is 58 watts and consumes 0.67 watts in the standby mode. The power required is AC 220 V-240 V with 50/60 Hz of frequency.
